Tiffin Cottage

I found this guy on Ebay earlier this year - when I went looking for a nice house sign for the new bungalow....

I saw his work and just KNEW he was the person to make the sign for TIFFIN COTTAGE....

MEET TERENCE EDGAR....

Terence Painting

Terence paints in the style known as Castles and Roses that is found in the gloriously
decorated narrowboats that sail up and down our canals in the UK. He genuinely paints for the love of it -
but naturally, with a talent like this, there are a lot of people who want to buy pieces of his work!

For our sign, Terence cut the wood and bevelled it and then decorated the finished sign...
Tiffin Cottage - named after the wonderful little furry companion we lost last summer
How I wish the little fella could have enjoyed this lovely home too....

Here is the sign in the first stages...

Planning the sign

... and here in it's finished form..... beautiful isn't it?

The finished sign....

Of course I couldn't just leave it at owning one piece of Terence's work...
So I treated myself to this lovely pitcher from his Ebay shop too
(you may have spotted it sitting on the kitchen windowsill?)

Terence's Pitcher

Finally for the moment (though I suspect I will be buying more in the future LOL!),
Rob had a genuine tiffin-tin from India.....

The blank tiffin tin...

... and we asked Terence if he would take on the challenge of painting it for the bungalow...
He said yep, he would have a go...
So just before we moved, we sent him the tin and a picture of our lovely dog, Tiffin....
Back came this wonderful piece of work....

The painted tin

.... Complete with, on the top, a lovely little portrait of our little pal....

A portrait of Tiffin

We can't thank Terence enough for these lovely things he has done for us
and I do hope that you'll go and take a look at some of
his other work (and it really is a TREAT)
on his website at http://www.geocities.com/canalarts...
maybe even order something beautiful for yourself? I do hope so,
cos this guy is as nice as his artwork and deserves HUGE success.
THANK YOU TERENCE!
