....both have their lives in his being....

Lady of Shadows and Lady of Smiles - both have their lives in his being...
He walks in the room and they both turn their heads - but it's two different people they're seeing...
One checks the time and says 'Where have you been? I've been waiting for over an hour!"
One drops her eyes and pretends not to see - her cheeks like two roses in flower....

....it's the old love story again....

The Lady of Smiles cooked his dinner tonight and hangs up his coat by the door
Straightens the sheets on the bed that they share and her hands are steady and sure.
Whilst the Lady of Shadows counted each passing second, tried to calm down but just wasn't able...
tried to eat something but it stuck in her throat and she moved it away on the table

....it's the old love story again....

To the Lady of Smiles he lost some of his magic when he packed up a case and moved in...
Though it often returns when they make love at night - still there's no more left for her to win.
While the Lady of Shadows hangs on each word he says and she locks them away in her heart...
Every move that he makes, every step that he takes - keeps her world turning when they're apart

....it's the old love story again....

So he gives them both something that money can't buy - each has its value it seems...
To the Lady of Smiles a man she can lean on - to the Lady of Shadows, her dreams....
He's a man of today's world - a knight in bright armour - a lover, an idol, a friend.
He's both needed and wanted - and taken for granted - it's the old love story again
