....Where are you bound?....
....The Ship was Mine - the thought rang true!....

I heard a cry from the harbour wall
Turn her round boys!
I turned my eyes towards the sound and there to my surprise I found
a sailing ship with masts full ten and two.
Cry 'Turn her round boys! Heave her to!

Her stern was turned towards the shore...
(Turn her round boys!)
...and in the harbour she lay still and all the air around her chill.
Though set for sail there was no sign of crew.
Cry 'Turn her round boys! Heave her to!

So close was she that we saw well...
(Turn her round boys!)
...her cargo - silks and satins fine, with chests of gold and casks of wine
and then appeared on deck my own love true.
(Cry 'Turn her round boys! Heave her to!)

The Ship was mine! The thought rang true!
(Turn her round boys!)
'Where are you bound?' I cried, confused - but any answer was refused!
Her name, at least, demanded as my due!
(Cry 'Turn her round boys! Heave her to!)

Then slowly came a mist around...
(Turn her round boys!)
Before she vanished into the shroud - in high, carved letters on her bow
the name 'Tomorrow' came into my view.
She could not turn boys - or heave to!
