..it's just for YOU....

Well I used the old words and I used the old rhymes
but something was different 'cos this time you smiled...
All of a sudden I realised why!
I' ve been writing in three-four time......

CHORUS:
Could it be, you wanted me to write you a waltz
Yes - that's what it was - you wanted a waltz!
I can't pretend that I'm any kind of Strauss...
But this is my 'Just For You' waltz.....

Could it be that you dream of dancers that swayed
and swirled round the room as the orchestra played?
The grace of Vienna that died and decayed -
in your mind, can you live it again?

CHORUS:
Could it be, you wanted me to write you a waltz
Yes - that's what it was - you wanted a waltz!
I can't pretend that I'm any kind of Strauss...
But this is my 'Just For You' waltz.....

Do you dream of the days of decadent charm
with ladies in lace to hang on your arm?
They're flirting with all of the men it is true -
but each of them's saving the last waltz for you.....

'Til politely you thank but say 'no' to them all
and turn (with that smile) to the girl by the wall..
You see - I've invited myself to the ball -
in time for the 'Just For You' waltz......

CHORUS:
Could it be, you wanted me to write you a waltz
Yes - that's what it was - you wanted a waltz!
I can't pretend that I'm any kind of Strauss...
But this is my 'Just For You' ....
(Can't you please love me too?)....
Now you've your 'Just For You' waltz?
