When I first took an interest in gif animation on the web I was lucky to find, early on, Steve Bennett's site, Karmastorm. It quickly became my favourite site on the whole web and I returned to it, time and again, for inspiration. I do not pretend to understand what all these animations mean... but that is a major part of their attraction for me - they stimulate my imagination... they are pictures to haunt my dreams... the epitome of everything I love in gif animation. Some of them are large files and take time to download but they are well worth the wait because gif animation does not get any better than this. When I found that Steve had taken Karmastorm off the web, I wrote to him to ask if I might have permission to keep some of his work alive on the web - and I am truly honoured that he said yes. I'm glad to say that Karmastorm is now back on the web and with some more truly amazing animations but with Steve's permission I am continuing to keep this section of my site in place.
